Halloween Dress Up Day 2016
Witches, wizards, goblins and not a few minions were to be seen around St. Conaire’s on October 28th. The occasion was the last day of the term before mid-term break. Instead of pupils waiting to come into the school on Friday morning, there were lots of different characters in costume. We were raising funds for a school in Uganda and pupils, teachers and SNAs all entered into the spirit of the event. The children had spent the week learning about Oíche Shamhna, Halloween traditions and doing a wide variety of art based around the Halloween Festival and Samhain. Many thanks to all the parents who helped out with the costumes and many thanks to the school staff who worked hard to make the day enjoyable and memorable.
